Pachamama is a unique 6 are property located on the north-east side of the idyllic tropical island of Gili Air, off the coast of Lombok, Indonesia. The property was built by a Swedish-Australian family and has been their home and business for the last 7 years.
At Pachamama you will find a beautiful bohemian style whole-foods café, a specialty gift shop, a luxurious 2 bedroom private dome villa with a swimming pool, and a 1 bedroom apartment.
The restaurant seats approximately 60 guests and has been lovingly decorated in a unique bohemian-island style with beautiful details throughout. The cafe has a focus on delicious, healthy whole-foods with a local twist – and the menu caters for vegans, vegetarians and omnivores.
At the front of the cafe you will find a small boutique featuring a curated selection local homewares, bags and textiles and homemade grocer items from the cafe menu. The boutique includes a separate workspace, storage and office space.
The cafe also features separate cold and dry food storage rooms and a large general storage area, as well as a purpose built generator room with a 7kw diesel generator that can run the whole property in case of power cuts.
The private pool villa consists of three adjoining domes, a natural stone bathroom and a walk in robe and storage space. The villa was designed in collaboration with an engineer from Yogyakarta specialising in earthquake resistant architecture. The villa is set amongst a pretty, tropical garden with a large wrap around terrace and features a shaded swimming pool, whitewashed details and a second outdoor bathroom.
The main dwelling also boasts a large underground space consisting of a round central loungeroom with 2 adjoining smaller rooms. This unique space has been used as a co-working and office space, guest bedroom and music production studio, and also for private events and parties.
The business has been in operation since 2016 and is well known and loved within the Gili and Bali community and amongst international travellers, having built and maintained a strong reputation as a beautiful space with a special atmosphere, and unique, delicious, healthy food and drinks.
The apartment, nestled above the cafe, is a private space designed to house the owner or manager but could also be rented nightly to visitors to the island. It features consists of 1 bedroom with adjoining sunroom, a private bathroom and a kitchen/dining with a fully equipped western kitchen, and luscious tropical garden views.
The property has 2 unused/unfinished spaces, both approximately 30 m2 each. Both spaces could easily be turned into additional accomodation and are connected to water and electricity.
